We at the Alt Lemgo association

... thank you for your interest and want to give you an insight into our association on the following pages. If you are interested in our activities, please contact us - we are happy to answer your questions.

If you are interested, we would also like to welcome you as a member of our association.

In 2010 we celebrated our 90th anniversary. In 1920, shortly after World War I, citizens of Lemgo came together who had a common goal - the preservation and presentation of the historical image of our Hanseatic town. Along with Dr. Karl Meier, the 1st chairman, they established the Alt Lemgo association on 27th August 1920.

Today, some 900 members are ready to support the diverse work of our association. It is still our main goal to raise and attract the awareness of the public towards the important historical heritage of our city. For this, we have constantly experienced great solidarity of our fellow citizens.

The Alt Lemgo association is not only engaged in the field of preservation of monuments and historic buildings. There are a number of other fields of work in which the numerous volunteers are committed to operate. Find out more about us and our work on the following pages.

In Alt Lemgo association you can experience the town of Lemgo, Lippe and the circle of activities beyond in many ways.
